Minurphy is a long-standing cold-chain supplier to SA refrigerated freight operators. Our bun partitions split reefer bodies into real temperature zones, run chilled and frozen on one load, and separate raw and cooked for cross-contamination control.
Built to hold a temperature, not just a draught
The difference between a cheap cool-room curtain and a real bun partition is the insulation. Ours sandwich a high-density closed-cell foam core between two 800 gsm PVC skins. The foam is the insulation, the PVC is the abuse-resistant skin. Together, they hold a real difference in temperature between zones over a multi-drop delivery run.
Scuff boards where they matter
The fastest thing to kill a reefer partition is the bottom edge hitting product, pallet jacks, and the floor. Our partitions have a scuff board bonded to the bottom edge both sides. It takes the impact instead of the PVC. When it wears, we replace just the scuff board, not the whole partition.
Webbing handles, not grommets
Two reinforced webbing handles stitched through all three layers (PVC, foam, PVC). Two people lift the partition, clip into the reefer rail system, and the load is split. Handles last the life of the partition and do not tear out the way stapled grommets do.
Sized to your fleet
We have templates for most SA reefer bodies (Serco, Lamberet, Thermo King). For bespoke trailers, send us the internal width, height, and rail position. For fleets of 10+ trucks, we standardise a size across the fleet and maintain the pattern for replacements.
Colour-coded for zone clarity
Blue for chilled, red for frozen, white for ambient is a standard we have supplied for years. For branded fleets, we do full-colour printing on the partition face with your livery.
Replacement and repair
We collect, assess, and repair in Durban. Common repairs are scuff-board replacement, handle re-stitching, and small skin patches. A well-maintained partition runs 5 to 7 years in daily cold-chain use.
