The Story

One factory. Three decades.

Started in 1994 with a single sewing machine and a reputation to build. Thirty years later, we ship covers from the Cape to the Zambezi. The workshop has grown. The philosophy has not.

Every cover is cut, welded, or stitched in our KZN factory. No reselling. No middlemen. You talk to the people who build your order, and a phone number that a human answers if you need anything fixed.

Timeline

Thirty years, five waypoints.

  1. 1994

    The workshop

Minurphy founded in KZN with a single industrial sewing machine and a small tarp order for a KZN sugar cane estate.

  2. 2001

    RF welders in

Moved to a larger factory in Redhill. Added heat-welding for fully waterproof PVC products. First mining supplier contract signed.

  3. 2010

    Food-grade + aquaculture

Launched food-industry PVC partitions for commercial bakeries. A koi breeder in Hillcrest asked us to build a transport vat. We never stopped.

  4. 2018

    On the tender books

Preferred supplier on KZN mining and construction rolls. SABS documentation, BBBEE paperwork, the lot.

  5. 2024

    Thirty years in

30th year of trade. Still in KZN. Still every cover made to order.

The owners still sign off every order. You speak to the people who cut your cover. That is not marketing, that is just how a factory should work.
