The detail

A pet bed should outlast the pet. Most of them do not. Cheap fabric beds soak up everything, lose their shape in months, and end up in landfill. Minurphy pet beds are built like our load tarps: high-density foam core that holds its shape for years, heavy-duty PVC tarp cover that wipes clean and laughs at mud, water, and the occasional digging session.

High-density foam, not fluff

The core is solid high-density polyurethane foam, not chopped foam or fibre filling. It does not flatten in a week. A medium-sized dog leaves an impression while sleeping that springs back when the dog gets up. Five years in, the foam looks the same.

PVC tarp cover, wipe-clean

The outer is the same 610 to 900 gsm PVC tarp we use for our tarpaulins and load covers. Mud wipes off with a damp cloth. Rain beads and runs off. Dog smell does not soak in. For working farm dogs and outdoor pets, this is the difference between a bed that lasts a season and one that lasts a decade.

Sized for any breed

Small (60 x 45 cm) for cats and small terriers. Medium (80 x 60 cm) for Border Collies and smaller Labs. Large (100 x 75 cm) for full-grown Labs, Boxers, Ridgebacks. Extra Large (120 x 90 cm) for Great Danes, Boerboels, and any giant breed. Custom sizes for kennels, awkward spaces, or matched sets.

Removable covers for easier washing

Standard build is a sealed cover. Optional: heavy-duty zip or hook-and-loop closure so the foam slides out for proper washing. Most owners just wipe the PVC clean in place, but for breeders, vet practices, and boarding kennels, the removable cover is the right spec.

Built for working dogs

A farm dog, a working terrier, or a guard breed will destroy a fabric bed in months. Our pet beds are the first ones that genuinely last in that environment. Bring us your dog's measurements and a sense of how hard the bed will be used; we will spec the right PVC weight and foam density for the job.

Bulk for kennels and boarding

For pet boarding businesses, vet practices, and kennels, we supply matched sets at bulk pricing. Standardised sizing across your boarding rooms, branded PVC covers if you want them, and a clear replacement-cover supply chain for the next decade.

Cover-only replacements

If the foam is still good but the cover has finally worn through (year 4 to 6 on a hard-used bed), we supply replacement covers at a fraction of the new-bed price. We keep patterns on file for any bed we have built.

  • A solid high-density polyurethane foam core (the comfort and shape), inside a heavy-duty PVC tarp outer cover (the durability and easy-clean). The same PVC we use for our tarpaulins and load covers, so it shrugs off mud, rain, scratching, and chewing far better than a fabric-covered pet bed.
