Minurphy has supplied agricultural curtains across SA since 1994. Poultry broiler houses were the original product. The same construction now serves piggeries, dairy sheds, feedlots, greenhouse sidewalls, and any farming structure that needs an open-side wall for ventilation and weather control.
Built for 10-year service
We do not build curtains to fail at season 3. Poultry-grade UV-stable PVC, double-layer reinforcement at stress points, and welded (not stitched) seams. If anything we built ever fails from a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it.
Cable eyeleted, pipe pocketed
Eyelets every 500 mm along the top edge for the running cable, 300 mm for high-wind locations. The bottom edge has a 50 to 75 mm reinforced pocket that holds a steel or PVC pipe to weight the curtain when down. Pipe and cable are sourced locally; we supply the curtain to fit standard SA hardware.
Any colour or opacity
White (UV-reflective, runs cooler inside) for hot regions. Olive and black for blackout broiler grow-out. Clear and semi-clear for greenhouse sidewalls where light pass-through matters. Custom colours and prints on volume orders.
Manual crank or motorised winch
Compatible with standard SA cable systems and motorised winches. Send your hardware spec when you order so we can match the eyelet placement and pocket size.
KZN manufactured, SA-wide supply
For large contracts in KZN, we manufacture and deliver direct. Outside KZN, we ship to spec with a fitting guide. For Gauteng, Limpopo, and Free State poultry clients, we typically co-ordinate with a local installer in your area.
Repairs and replacement panels
A poultry curtain that has torn at the eyelets or worn through at the pipe pocket can usually be repaired. Send photos of the damage and we will quote a repair against a replacement.
