Come winter, most SA pools turn into a leaf trap. The pump still runs, the chemicals still get dosed, and nobody swims. A custom PVC pool cover changes the equation: it keeps the muck out, slows the water loss, holds a few degrees of heat, and cuts what you spend on chemicals while the pool sits unused.
The key word is custom. A generic cover that nearly fits is a cover that sags, collects water, and blows off. We cut and weld to your pool, whatever the shape.
What a proper cover actually does
- Keeps debris out. Leaves, dust, and the neighbour's jacaranda stay on top of the cover, not in your weir and pump.
- Slows evaporation. An open pool loses a surprising amount of water over a dry highveld winter. A cover keeps it in the pool.
- Holds heat. A sealed surface holds the day's warmth far better than open water, which shortens the warm-up when spring arrives.
- Cuts chemical use. Less sun on the water and less debris means less chlorine demand and less balancing.
Cut to your pool, not to a catalogue
Rectangular, freeform, kidney, with steps or a tanning ledge: we template the cover to the actual shape. The cover is welded from PVC into a single taut sheet and finished with tensioning fittings along the edge so it sits tight, sheds water, and does not flap. No standing puddles, no loose corners.
We build covers in the same heavy-duty PVC weights we use across the range, from 550 gsm up to 800 gsm depending on how exposed the pool is and how much foot traffic the cover will take. For a spa or jacuzzi, we build an insulated version that holds heat overnight.
We manufacture, you handle the fitting
We are a manufacturer. We measure-to-template from your dimensions and photos, build the cover, and supply the fittings. We do not install on site, which keeps the price down. Fitting a tensioned cover is straightforward, and we send it with clear instructions. If you would rather have it fitted, we can recommend someone.
No minimum, and it gets repaired
There is no minimum order. We build a single pool cover as readily as a batch. And because it is welded PVC, it is repairable: if it ever takes damage, bring it in and we patch it rather than replace it. We keep the template on file, so a future replacement or a second cover is quick.
